The properties of the metal bellows couplings are optimized with regard to torsional stiffness and restoring forces so that the rotary motion is transmitted to the transducer without errors and the bearing load on the connected shafts can be minimized. The bellows couplings are characterized by backlash-free and angularly synchronous transmission and optimum compensation of misalignments. In addition, they have a very high torsional spring stiffness, low restoring forces and are vibration damping.
Metal bellows couplings
In many industries, control and regulation circuits depend on highly accurate positioning or position feedback. In practice, rotary encoders or resolvers are torsionally stiff and flexurally flexible connected to the drive.
