Solenoids from TDS

Under the heading Electromagnets: Solenoids in their diversity

In the electromagnet category, TDS Precision Products GmbH offers you not only one form of lifting solenoid, but various models to suit your needs. For example, if a high holding force is required, we recommend push/pull solenoids. If the main focus of the solenoid is on a linear solenoid for position control, use proportional solenoids. You will also find tubular linear solenoids with particularly long strokes or open yoke linear solenoids as a low-cost version. Two bestsellers are the "Push Pull" and "Small Push Pull" models. With a holding force of 2,000 and 500 Newton respectively, you can easily choose which solenoid suits your requirements in the solenoid section. The "Super Stroke" solenoid, as another example, is an ideal replacement for pneumatic cylinders and works with a lifting force of up to 24 Newton. For position control, on the other hand, we recommend the "Proportional" model with a holding force of up to 80 Newton. For pulling or pushing force transmission, we also have the "Tubular" model. You can use a holding force of up to 80 Newton and, as with all other linear solenoids, you can rely on a long service life.

More information on the subject of electromagnets:
Solenoid, rotary solenoid and holding solenoid

If you would like to find out more about linear solenoids, holding solenoids and rotary solenoids in the "Electromagnet" section, we have data sheets available on our website for all standard versions. You will find the detailed information for each model separately, so that you can look at all the details at your leisure. Optionally, each electromagnet that is to be used as a linear solenoid for you can be equipped with an ejector pin. This reliably overcomes residual magnetism. Armature plates are also available on request to optimise force absorption. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us without obligation.

Individual electromagnet: a solenoid in special dimensions

In the "Electromagnet" section you will find linear solenoids, each in standard versions. With these products, a large part of the industrial needs can already be covered, but especially innovations would like to go other ways. If you do not find what you are looking for, we at TDS Precision Products GmbH offer you the possibility of commissioning a special design at any time. Together with you, we start designing suitable solenoids. In this way, you receive lifting solenoids that are tailored to your individual needs.

Your new electromagnet

Purchase rotary magnets at TDS

TDS Precision Products GmbH has been established for you on the Swiss market since 2000 and is at your side as a competent partner for sensor technology, rotary transducers and drive technology. Drive technology includes the category "electromagnet" and the linear solenoid is a sub-form of these solenoids. A large selection awaits you here, which we would be pleased to present to you in more detail.

Brief explanation of the solenoid

Coils that can be supplied with current are always used in drive technology. When the current flows through them, a magnetic field is created that can be used in different ways depending on the component. Such a coil with a magnetic field is called an electromagnet. A solenoid belongs to this category as a subgroup. Solenoids are on/off actuators and are energised. In this way, they develop a force which, however, always acts in one direction only. In order to use a return force, these electromagnets must rely on an additional, external element such as a return spring.
