Fiber optic rotary unions are the optical equivalent of electrical slip rings. They allow uninterrupted transmission of optical signals during rotation around their shaft. 

The glass fibre offers an almost endless bandwidth, allowing you to route the required signals over one fibre. The three most commonly used spectra are 850nm, 1310nm and 1550nm.
